(PRIVACY POLICY)
The purpose of this personal data protection policy (privacy policy) is to inform the public (individuals, clients, workshop participants, associates and other persons) who interact with ABtoZ Consulting d.o.o. (trading as EQUIA), e-mail address: info@equia.si, telephone number: 051 429 291 (hereinafter: EQUIA or the provider or the personal data controller) about the purposes, legal bases, security measures and rights of individuals regarding the processing of personal data carried out by our company.
This privacy policy addresses the handling of information that EQUIA obtains about you when you visit and use our website or otherwise provide it to us (workshop inquiries, event registrations, e-mail correspondence, etc.).
At EQUIA we value your privacy, which is why we carefully protect your personal data. The information you provide to us is safeguarded against unauthorized third parties, ensuring worry-free and confidential cooperation with us.
Protecting personal data means:
- We will never misuse your personal data in any way.
- We will never disclose your contact and personal data to an unauthorized third party.
- You can quickly and easily unsubscribe from any of our e-mails or other forms of communication at any time.
All our online activities comply with European legislation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 — the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR) and the national legislation of the Republic of Slovenia (Personal Data Protection Act, ZVOP-2, Official Gazette of the RS, No. 163/22), the Electronic Commerce Market Act (ZEPT) and other applicable regulations.
Collection and Processing of Personal Data
Personal data is information that identifies you as a specific or identifiable individual. EQUIA does not collect your personal data except where you provide it or consent to its collection — e.g. when making a workshop inquiry, arranging an introductory call, registering participants for a workshop, or contacting us via the contact form.
EQUIA collects and processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- to fulfil technical requirements for administering the website;
- to conclude and perform a contract or agreement for the delivery of a workshop, including communication with the client and participants, preparation of offers, issuing invoices and fulfilling other obligations (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR);
- to inform you about EQUIA's news, events and content, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR);
- the provider's legitimate interest in improving services, analysing website traffic and ensuring website security (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Personal Data We Collect
- basic information about the client and contact person (first and last name, company name, position);
- contact information (e-mail address, telephone number, company address);
- records of communication with the controller (date, time and content of e-mail or telephone communication);
- data required for invoicing (name, address, tax number);
- data on website usage (dates and times of visits, pages visited, duration of visit).
Retention of Personal Data
EQUIA retains your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. Data processed on the basis of law is retained for the period prescribed by law (e.g. accounting records for 10 years).
Data processed on the basis of a contractual relationship is retained for a further 5 years after termination of the contract, and in the event of a dispute for 10 years after the decision or settlement becomes final. Data processed on the basis of consent is retained until consent is withdrawn.
Data Processing by Third Parties
EQUIA may entrust certain tasks related to your data to contracted processors (accounting service, website hosting and e-mail service providers, communication and calendar tool providers, web analytics providers). Contracted processors may process data solely on behalf of EQUIA, within the scope of their authorization and in accordance with the purposes set out in this policy. EQUIA does not disclose your personal data to unauthorized third parties.

Rights of the Individual
As an individual, under the GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- The right to withdraw consent — at any time, without adverse consequences.
- The right of access to personal data — confirmation of processing and access to the data and information about the processing.
- The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- The right to erasure ("the right to be forgotten") in the cases specified by the GDPR.
- The right to restriction of processing in the cases specified by the GDPR.
- The right to data portability for the data you have provided to the provider.
- The right to object to processing based on legitimate interest or direct marketing.
- The right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (in Slovenia: the Information Commissioner).
All requests regarding the exercise of your rights may be addressed in writing to info@equia.si. We will respond to your request without undue delay, and at the latest within one month of receipt.
Publication of Changes
Any change to the privacy policy will be published on this website. By using the website, the individual confirms that they accept and agree with the entire content of this privacy policy.
